The guarantee is valid for 20 years from the date of purchase.
All greenteQ window and door furniture products must be registered with VBH within 28 days of purchase (or taking possession of a new build property).
* The guarantee does not apply if the installation is in what VBH would term as an area of particularly aggressive atmospheric conditions, such as within half a
mile’s distance (as the crow flies) from heavy industrial or coastal environments, or of any areas deemed by VBH to have a high level of air pollution. In such
cases, products from the greenteQ architeQ Coastline* stainless steel range should be used.
The guarantee is valid only for installations on mainland Great Britain (Subject to the restrictions in Point 3).
The guarantee covers the finish of the furniture item only. The mechanical performance of the item is guaranteed for 10 years from the date of purchase.
The guarantee does not apply if damage to the protective plating or paint is evident, whether that damage has been caused accidentally, wilfully, or through neglect. Accidental damage includes, but is not restricted to, scratching caused by keys, rings etc.
The guarantee does not apply if the item of furniture has been subjected to inappropriate contact with chemical products or other abrasive products. This includes exposure to building materials such as plaster, sand, render and cement, in their mixed or base form.
The guarantee does not apply if signs of physical misuse are evident (i.e. the item has been subjected to excessive forces, whether wilfully, accidentally or through neglect, by the owner or any third party).
Regular basic maintenance must be carried out as detailed below:
Handle fixing screws must not be over tightened as this will impair the operation of the connected locking hardware, leading to excessive forces being required to operate the handle.
All turning points on handles must be lightly lubricated with GT85 lubricant, or similar, at least every 6 months.
All locking parts on any connected locking hardware must be lubricated every 6 months using GT85 lubricant, or similar, to ensure smooth
operation.
Important Note: Only use a specialist ‘Dry Lube’ lubricant on profile cylinder locks. Products such as WD-40 or GT85 should never be
used with profile cylinders.
The pivot points on all window and door hinges must be lightly lubricated with a light machine oil, such as 3-In-One, at least every 6 months
Regularly remove any dust or grime from the painted or plated surface of all window and door furniture, taking great care not to scratch the surface,
using a soft, non-abrasive cloth, dampened with warm water if required. Chemical cleaners should never be used.
Any claim must be made online through our website at www.greenteQguarantee.co.uk . As part of the claim process, we will
request photographic evidence of the fault. If, from these photographs, it is apparent that the item of furniture is not a greenteQ product, the claim will
be rejected. Similarly, if it is apparent that any of the exceptions outlined above are evident, or the recommended basic maintenance has not been
carried out, the claim will be rejected.
No dialogue, be that written or verbal, will be entered into following the rejection of a claim. The decision of VBH is final.
Any claim must be supported by a proof of purchase of the item or of the window or door to which it is fitted, or proof of the date of taking
possession of a new-build property.
The guarantee is not transferable. The guarantee ends upon the sale or transfer of the property during the 20-year guarantee period.
The guarantee only applies to products fitted at the address of the property detailed when the guarantee was registered. Items cannot be
moved to another property.
Upon acceptance of a claim, VBH will contact the claimant to arrange shipment of a replacement part. The item will be delivered to the address provided
when the guarantee was registered. VBH will provide instructions on how to remove the old component and fit the replacement.
If the claimant is unable to replace the item, VBH will send an engineer to carry out the work.
If the faulty item is a door hinge, VBH will arrange to send an engineer to site to fit a replacement part. VBH will contact the claimant within three weeks of the
claim being accepted to arrange a convenient time for the work to be carried out.
The claimant must agree to allow VBH to arrange collection of the faulty part for examination and investigation, as part of our quality control
process, once it has been replaced. VBH will either collect the item in person or may instruct a courier company to make a collection. Any
collection will be at no cost to the claimant.
If, upon visiting the property, the VBH engineer ascertains that the item of furniture is not a greenteQ product, the claim will be rejected.
Similarly, if it becomes apparent that any of the exceptions outlined above are evident, or the recommended basic maintenance has not been carried
out, the claim will be rejected. VBH reserves the right to impose a false call-out charge of minimum £100 in such an instance.
VBH will do our utmost to fit a like-for-like replacement. If this is not possible due to the part being unavailable for any reason, or having been
discontinued, VBH will attempt to provide a suitable alternative part. If this is not possible, VBH will reimburse the sale price of the item at the time of
its sale by VBH, based on the registration date. The value of the reimbursement shall not exceed the original sales value of the item.
This guarantee extends to the VBH furniture item in question, or the value thereof. It does not extend to cover any other costs whatsoever
brought about by the failure of the greenteQ furniture item.

consequences of any actions whatsoever brought about by the failure of the greenteQ furniture item.
By registering for the guarantee, you are giving VBH permission to contact you regarding items or services that we feel may be of interest to you in the future.

We recommend the use of this range for installations in areas of more aggressive atmospheric conditions, as detailed in Point 3. architeQ Coastline furniture items are supplied with a 25-year surface finish guarantee.
The guarantee does not cover the hinges fitted to composite doors.
